In a statement released earlier today, social democrat students Pulse showed concern with the way one of this year’s MATSEC O-Level Mathematics exams was conducted.

Matsec’s decision not to allow students to drink water during examinations has been reversed, according to student organisation SDM.
The Education Ministry confirmed this in a statement released this morning. “We regret any inconvenience caused to students,” it said.

Christian democrat students SDM have set up an online petition pledging for the MATSEC board to allow students to drink water during exams; MATSEC is responsible for the organisation of ordinary level and advanced level examinations.

The University campus was evacuated earlier this evening after a bomb threat was received by the University. According to unconfirmed reports, an unidentified person called the university security office at approximately 8.30pm and made the threat, which was ultimately revealed to be a hoax.
